After calling ABS-CBN his home for 12 years, Jason Abalos has decided to switch networks to its rival, GMA-7.
While he only has good things to say about the former management, the actor has reasons for the unexpected decision. In a report from Philippine Entertainment Portal, the now-Kapuso artist revealed that he’d like to take a shot at comedy.
The actor quickly got his hands full as he is set to star in his first GMA Teleserye project, the upcoming rom-com series “The One That Got Away”. The only catch is, he doesn’t get to lead, since he would play a supporting role. As for Jason, who are often trusted with starring roles in the Kapamilya, this isn’t much of an issue. During the interview, he said:
Jason seems to be having a great time familiarizing himself with the new management. The artist has already made guest appearances in quite a lot of Kapuso programs.
Dito hanggang sa game shows nagagawa kong mag-guest.
It seems that the leap was a great decision for Jason. Congratulations to the actor for his first Teleserye program! We can’t wait for the celebrity to finally create a mark in his new network!
