Sylvia Sanchez has been in the industry for almost 30 years. Over the course of her career, the seasoned actress has learned by heart the many facets of the showbiz. That being so, it is only fair that the “Hanggang Saan” lead gives pointers to younger artists she gets to work with. There is great value in the lessons she has to teach, especially with teen stars who are on road to stardom. She was after all, in their shoes long ago.

In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal last Saturday, the celebrity mom revealed that she has once called out a younger celebrity for ignoring their co-stars on set. Sylvia refused to drop a name and instead elaborated on why she advises against snubbing other artists.

For Sylvia, even saying hello to co-stars, especially to those who have been in the scene for long, is a sign of respect. Many young artists who have just entered the showbiz stage are probably dreading: what if they don’t greet back? The actress has just a few words: that says something about them and not you.

“I’m sure, masasabi [nila] isang araw naAy, respectful ‘yang batang ‘yan.’

According to the veteran actress, this piece of advice isn’t only for the unnamed young star, but to the rest of those season veterans in the industry.
