Hey, the new year is in. It is the best time to settle your old grudges, breathe some fresh year and start anew. Instead of plotting on your enemies, why not try to settle your disagreements with something more positive, like a game of chess, a game in any competitive sport, or maybe a dance showdown? Just take what these two business rivals, Jollibee and McDonalds, did. Two managers of their two new branches cleverly decided to do a dance showdown for their respective branches’ opening – and it became a social media hit!
A viral uploaded video uploaded by a certain Lhen Mana-ay recently viral. It captured two groups of mascots on both sides of the road face to face in a dance showdown. The crowd was so entertained by this that it created a little bit of a traffic situation.
The video has 1.9, million views, 24.8 shares and 43,000 likes as of writing.
What made the showdown more intense is the fact that almost all of the respective companies’ mascots were present. Many netizens also noted that the branches of the two fast food chains are facing right each other.
The two branches are new branches of these two big fastfood chains in Regalado Avenue, Quezon City. It is not clear whether the dance showdown was intended or if the two branches coincidentally opened their branches in the same day.
It can be remembered that another dance showdown video, this one from China, also previously went viral. This one featured mascots of the big Chinese products Vivo and Oppo in an intense dance-off.
